Puig: great talent, stupid player, Winners & a unforced error

Yasiel Puig: is a great talent but his foolishness on the base pads and in the field is costing us games.  Vin Scully calls him a wild horse or more like a live grenade thrown in the general direction that sometimes can blow up in your face.

Thought about that today watching Puig get picked off and missing the cut off man,  You have two type of players like Jerry Harriston who hit what I call a winner with a two out RBI single and a unforced error Puig getting picked off with Ethier hitting who was 2 for 2 with a homer.

In the7th he violated the principal of keeping the double play in order with one out by showing off his cannon.  Had they had a bigger lead that would be ok but not here,,The Dodger don't score a lot of runs and while he is hitting .350 plus he doesn't drive in a lot of runs.

Dude where is the Power

Dodgers get doubled up!

This game was very frustrating even though they have won q franchise best 15 in a row on the road and 2nd all time tied with several others very impressive.  Is it the first double play or the last one that pissed me off hmmm well its all of them, we seem to be paying a guy 24 million dollars not to steal bases when he leads off this gives him a good view of the throwing technique of the 2b as he slides, God forbid he steal 2b as this is what he is being paid 24mm dollars that's 24mm to watch him Lolly gag back to the dugout after the next guy ground inti a double play, again.  Yes he had a hamstring injury in the begging of June

WHERE  IS THE POWER, James Loney has twice the amount of homers than Kemp and Crawford, more than Ethier and More RBI's than anyone on the Dodger team other than Gonzalez.  He has a higher batting average then Crawford, Kemp, Ethier, and Kemp.  Its been atleast since the beginning of June since Crawford hommered, Ethier only one in a month.

The rest of the team other than Hanley and Puig have track power at est that's why Puig is batting 4th with 11 hr's in two months.  Its why it is so frustrating to see them play a fundamentally bad game and while no fielding errors occurred they made a bunch.  they had a bases loaded  situation created when Gonzalez was unable to take 3rd base on a hit and run single to left all be hit hard he has to be aggressive in that situation followed by a single to right where again Gonzalez was unable to score which set up this play a inning ending double play mother fucker.  Sometime has to work with these slow pokes to be fast enough.  Clayton not getting the bunt down hurt us and Punto not getting the bunt down killed us other than Mattingly bringing in League in other than to show us how smart he is not.

Without any power and it seemingly taking 4 hits to score a run they will be lucky to split this series with the Cardinals.  It only took them a month to go from worst to first it can go back the other way too.  I don't think that will happen but if they don't pick it up offensively October will be short and BITTER!!!

Who is Alexander Guerrero?

Reports flashing around the Interbet is that the Dodgers have signed Alexander Guerrero first a great name to have if you are a Dodger for obvious reasons.  This happens to coincide with the fact the Dodgers are no longer interested in Gonzalez seems to be timely.  Also timely the Dodgers are in sole possession of first place by the slimiest of leads.  But large enough to tell Gonzalez to take a hike and take on SS - infielder who is slated for AA-AAA for a few weeks before call up to play 2B, 3B long term? he has pop in his bat no sb were mentioned.  That being said I woud like to see this team take a run at Robinson Cano which doesen't seem to be the case now.

CUBAN MISSILE ON AMERICAN SOIL!!!

Well on this 69th anniversary to D-Day a new powerful force has enter the United States and was seen launching two missles from LA one of which has not landed yet.  These missiles or Thunderballs were seen being launched by the Cuban Yasiel Puig 2013 model.

I have never seen so much hype both negative and positive surrounding a Dodger player not seen in my life time.  On the negative i am hearing about tickets, not running out a grounder, base running and a fielding error hear and there.  REALLY, REALLY and you wonder why you are in last place.  When you say a negative that can't be corrected at the Major League level call me.  I actually sawa post where they said Puig made fans wait for autographs the fact the poster waited to see if Puig would give someone else an autograph is ridiculous or that he doesn't tae a perfect pack to the baseball the Dodgers are in last place because they don't score enough runs and can't protect the leads they get.

with the exception of Mark and AJ Ellis everyone in their lineup is 20 home run guy with AJ in double figures.  They should be scoring runs, I know Kemp and Ramirez have been hurt or not back to what they were but what is Ethier's excuse.  With the injuries they still have more firepower than anytime last year and there in last place!!!

Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants - May 5, 2013 | MLB.com LAD Recap

Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants - May 5, 2013 | MLB.com LAD Recap:

Going into the 6th innibg friday you had your ace throwing a no hitter and feeling pretty good about your team then it happened muissed opportunity after missed opportunity ends on a walk off homer against a guy the batter Posey was 0-6 wiith 5 strikeouts and we lose our shortstope to the dl again.

Saturday an actual offense shows up with a 7 run ralley and some great base running by Dee Gordon to end in the same result a walkoff homerun by the hated ones.

Sunday the same result without the dramatics

Is this what 240mm gets you?

We started this enterprise with 8 starting pitchers, a guy who probably should not be at short and no real closer and now we barely can fill out a rotation an injured shortstop first baseman and two slumping run producers.  As it stands our best hitter is probably in AA and was a Cuban defector this time last year and our best reliever was still in College.  That being said they will have to find starting pitching from somewhere and make an adjustment on whom the closer is in the bullpen.

right now they have a rookie who didn't make it out of the 2nd inning and Capuano
who always fades in the 2nd half.  From what i have seen from Paco Rodriguez he should close with his stuff and confidence.  Uf Dee Gordon is really ready they should consider moving Ramirez back to 3rd although i admit it is too early to give up on him as a shortstop.
